Thunderstorm Outlook - Wednesday

An increase risk of thunderstorms with the combination of dry fuels has prompted a red flag warning for Wednesday. Any fires that start due to lighting and gusty winds will have the chance of spreading out of control. Outdoor burning is not recommended in areas under the warning.

There is a slight chance of scattered thunderstorms on Wednesday. The best chance is along the Cascade Crest (although a few storms may develop over the Olympics and off the coast over the waters Wednesday morning). If you are recreating during the day Wednesday, have a plan in place incase you hear thunder and need to take shelter.
